Online Program: Supporting Female Athletes
Understanding the Menstrual Cycle

Menstrual cycle education for the people who support female athletes.

Listen below for what our Online Program is all about!

KaMana’s Supporting Female Athletes Series is an educational online program designed for parents, coaches, teachers, and anyone who plays a role in supporting female athletes. Learn at your own pace as we bring you the latest, research-backed information about the menstrual cycle simplified for clarity and real-world application.

Mother Liz & daughter Evie watched our program together

"Thank you both so much for your clear insight into how to manage a young female athlete and her developing body. My daughter Evie trains 6 days per week, morning and afternoon and over the last 6 months has experienced a lot of ups and downs with her level of endurance. By purchasing 'Understanding the Menstrual cycle' on the KaMana website Evie now has a very good understanding of why she is feeling like she is and how she can start to make certain changes to lift her level of output, whether that is through diet, communication, medication etc. There is a real gap in the market for this information for a young female athlete and we thank you both very much for documenting a road map to navigate our way through."

This program covers essential topics, including what is a normal menstrual cycle, menstrual cycle abnormalities, how the menstrual cycle can impact training and performance, and how to support athletes through these changes. Featuring insights from elite athletes and real-life stories, Supporting Female Athletes helps you learn about the menstrual cycle and better support female athletes to achieve their goals.

Each condition is explained in clear, accessible terms, with a focus on how to recognise symptoms and support athletes in managing them effectively.

  • Why tracking the menstrual cycle is a valuable tool for athletes

  • How different phases of the cycle can affect an athlete’s training, recovery, energy levels, and mood
