This training diary is a tool to help you monitor your progress, build confidence and achieve your dream goals. By tracking your training, load and how you feel physically and mentally, you will gain more self-awareness about what helps you train at your best. This diary will help you celebrate your milestones (big and small), adapt and work through challenges, and keep other elements of your life in balance. 

 

Chasing a goal is not a linear experience. There are highs and lows, progress and plateaus, with each moment offering a new opportunity to learn. It is a journey. This diary is a place for that entire journey to be documented.

Track progress and monitor load 

There are weekly spreads to document all your training sessions including the session type, intensity, duration, and any extra thoughts. At the end of each week document the number of sessions, hours and overall intensity of your training week. Over time you will be able to see how you cope with different loads and intensities. There is also additional information within the diary about monitoring training load. 

 

Weekly intentions and reflections 

Each week there is also an opportunity to reflect on what went well and what was challenging. These prompts help you set new intentions and goals for your next training week. There are also prompts to practice gratitude and write down any other thoughts and feelings from the week. Putting thoughts on paper is a great way to process your emotions. 

 

Monthly Planning

Plan out your season by writing down your key dates, events, deadlines and fun. 

 

Monthly goals and wellbeing check in 

This is our favourite feature of the KaMana training diary. Each month you will have the opportunity to reflect on your overall wellbeing by assessing the different elements of your life. Athletes train and perform at their best when lots of elements of life are going well, not just athletic performance. That being said, it is very hard for every single element of your life to be going well all at once. This check in allows you to see which elements of your life might need a little more attention. You will also have space to set new short term/ action goals for the month ahead, helping you to continue progressing towards your season goal. 

 

Menstrual cycle tracking 

If you have a menstrual cycle, there is space to document what day of your cycle you're in and when you have your period. Over time you can use this to see if you can notice any patterns in your training and how you feel around your menstrual cycle. If you don’t have a menstrual cycle or don’t want to track, that is totally fine. You can use this space to track something else, for example, if you have had enough water that day.
